I have had the pleasure of teaching and mentoring students at UMass Boston and at Pepperdine University. The courses that I teach mirror my research interests. I teach undergraduate courses in psychology and neuroscience. I also developed and teach undergraduate courses in infant/child development, family interactions, and the biology of fatherhood.

I enjoy teaching in large lecture halls as well as small classrooms and take the responsibility of teaching in the classroom and mentoring in the lab very seriously. In my lab, I have mentored dozens of undergraduate students who appear on lab publications, present research at international conferences, and thrive in fulfilling careers in academia and industry. I consider these interactions as priceless opportunities to support their thirst for knowledge in psychology, neuroscience, and human development.

Since 2024, I’ve had the pleasure of helping students in Psychological Science at Pepperdine University pursue their interests in neuroscience. With the recent launch of Pepperdine’s neuroscience club (PeppNeuro) and the new minor in Neuroscience (anticipated launch Fall 2027), I hope to provide a launchpad for students in neuroscience to push the boundaries of inquiry in their own academic and professional journeys.
